Mainstage Event Description

Edgar Villanueva – author of the bestselling book Decolonizing Wealth, principal of Decolonizing Wealth Project and Liberated Capital, and an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe – will join us for a compelling and candid conversation during our morning main stage event.

Villanueva’s work has helped to illuminate the history of wealth and racism in our nation, with insights that name past and present harms of philanthropy while calling us into an orientation toward justice with hope for the future. Grounded in Native wisdom and the understanding that we are all interconnected, Villanueva will share actionable guidance on deepening the alignment of our actions with our values and creating space for healing divides and restoring balance. As Villanueva has shared, “Healing cannot occur unless everyone is part of the process.”
