On Friday, September 24th, Decolonizing Wealth Project will host our 4th Heal with Us community summit.
This will be our first healing summit offering for white-identified professionals in philanthropy!
After focusing our previous three summits exclusively on communities of color, we believe it is imperative at this moment to expand and offer space to white grantmakers from across the country.
In October 2020, we launched the Heal With Us healing summit series- initially focused on grantmakers of color. Summit participants were able to come together in a community of peers to receive support from a broad range of healing practitioners. A particular point of emphasis for grantmakers of color during the summits were their challenging interactions and relationships with white colleagues- both within their philanthropic organization and in the broader sector.
We believe that we cannot truly move forward a vision of racial healing, reparations, and the decolonization of wealth overall, without the active participation of white people within philanthropy and beyond. It is with this wish that we offer this healing summit on September 24th.
