PhilanthropySoWhite – UK

Two years into this ‘racial reckoning’ and still, #PhilanthropySoWhite!

The burden of racial injustice and white supremacy all too often is left to Black and other global majority communities to fix. So we’re calling-in white leaders to shoulder responsibility, listen to communities that have been harmed, and do the work needed to shift decision-making power.

Join us for #PhilanthropySoWhite UK, a moderated conversation where we ask white leaders about their work towards racial justice in and outside of their organisations, and how they are unlearning norms, addressing privilege, and centering different voices to drive equitable societies.

The event will feature
Edgar Villanueva, Principal, Decolonizing Wealth Project
Stephanie Brobbey, Founder, The Good Ancestor Movement
Sara Llewellin, Chief Executive, Barrow Cadbury Trust
Sophia Parker, Director, Joseph Rowntree Foundation
Julian Corner, Chief Executive, Lankelly Chase
Jenny North, Foundation Director, The Clothworkers Foundation

In this honest conversation, we will dive into areas of progress, the pain points of the journey, and what the next few years might look like specifically for white leaders in philanthropy working to create anti-racist organisations.
